Hi there,
I manage to receive a video stream from IGEP using gstreamer with the following pipeline :
gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src device=/dev/video2 queue-size=8 ! video/x-raw-yuv,format=\(fourcc\)UYVY,width=720,height=576 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! TIVidenc1 codecName=h264enc engineName=codecServer ! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=$IPADRESS port=$PORT


But the video received is interlaced. When something moves in front of the cam, we had thin lines that appear.

I tried to use a deinterlace element by adding it into the pipeline as follow :
gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src device=/dev/video2 queue-size=8 ! video/x-raw-yuv,format=\(fourcc\)UYVY,width=720,height=576 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! deinterlace ! TIVidenc1 codecName=h264enc engineName=codecServer ! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=$IPADRESS port=$PORT


The pipeline is launched, without error, but it does not seem to change anything...

I tried to force the deinterlacing by adding deinterlace mode=1, I tried to change the deinterlacing method (method=linear...), but same result.

Any idea on how I can deinterlace my stream ?

    Sorry for being unclear,
    I work on an IGEPV2 with an expansion board and an analog camera connected on it.
    The poky distribution is installed on the IGEPV2 board.

    Ok, the TVP5151 only works in interlaced mode, the ISP is who deinterlace the image so you don't get any difference due the image is already deinterlaced ... I'm not sure if your issue resides in the TVP5151 level driver or is related to the rtp stream.

    Please disable the rtp stream and try to reproduce the video in the hdmi output video ... I mean, try to follow this example.

    I displayed the video stream on a screen directly connected on the IGEP board with the following pipeline :
    gst-launch-0.10 -v v4l2src device=/dev/video2 queue-size=8 ! video/x-raw-yuv,format=\(fourcc\)UYVY,width=720,height=576 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! ximagesink


    But the result is still the same, the video is interlaced :

    If you download the image, you could see the lines on my hand moving on the picture

    Thus, it does not seem to be linked with rtp stream.

    igep-dsp-gst-framework-3_40_00: has self own kernel inside, can you use this instead ... normally the cmemk, lpm, ... must be build with the kernel that you want to use in this case I saw in the log a standar kernel or if you wish replace the kernel sources included inside the framework and build with the latest kernel version ...
