Are unique Ethernet MAC addresses assigned for the SMSC devices on the IGEPv2? It appears that the MAC address is read from the igep.ini file.

    Hi spotocny,

Are unique Ethernet MAC addresses assigned for the SMSC devices on the IGEPv2?

No, IGEPv2 with Kernel 2.6.37 uses SW based MAC address, kernel reads kparams "smsc911x.mac=<>" from igep.ini file. If there is no smsc911x.mac declared, kernel will assign a random MAC address to Ethernet network device.

    Cheers!
