Hi all,

is there a way to uniquely identify an igep board, something like a serial number or so?

On most standard x86 pc we can get unique motherboard and cpu serial number with dmidecode. Is there something similar for igep boards?

Thanks
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

In the case of IGEP processors boards you can use the CPU id number, called dieid

You can use following script to get the dieid
#!/bin/sh

DIEID=""
for addr in '0x4830a224' '0x4830a220' '0x4830a21c' '0x4830a218'; do
  DIEID=${DIEID}`devmem2 0x4830a224 | awk '/Read/ { printf "%08X", $6 }'`
done
echo ${DIEID}
