Expansion board for SMARC modules

An unique development board for any SMARC module

The SMARC EXPANSION is a fully equipped baseboard that access to almost all  SMARC functionalities. It has been designed to be used as the fastest way to develop and check the user’s final application before building a prototype, saving costs and reducing time to market.

This model can be used with all the SMARC series modules. Thanks to this design, the user only need to purchase one Expansion board to check all the SMARC modules manufactured by ISEE Tech.

SOM modules are products with their own form factor and wide range of features. These are very small SOM (System-on-Module) systems which allows a drastic decrease of size in the final product with all the functionalities needed, with this help, the designers can optimize their developing and manufacturing time and cost of new products.

These modules need a Carrier Board to expand all their possibilities and offer the needed connectors to interact with user’s final application.

SOM modules can run complete Operating Systems and offer extended connectivity possibilities with external peripherals.

According the final application needs, there is possible to choose between different sizes and processors, offering the possibility to find the perfect match for every project.

This action should be put in context of the reindustrialization of the Delphi factory located in Sant Cugat del Vallès. ISEE Tech , J. Juan, Gutmar and Guilera will take part in this process.

SMARC Modules

SMARC (Smart Mobility ARChitecture) is a versatile small form factor computer module definition focused in applications with low power, low cost and high performance requirements.


SMARC is one of the standards defined by SGET (Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies). In this are fixed the form factor and pinout of the modules.

There are defined two module sizes: the bigger (82mm x 80mm) is proposed for X86 devices and the smaller (82mm x 50mm) is oriented to applications using ARM processors. ISEE Tech has adapted the small size to develop their new platforms.

The standard also defines a fixed pinout, being the same in all modules and sizes. These are a 314 edge fingers that mate with a low profile 314 pin 0.5mm pitch right angle connector.

With same size and pinout, it is possible any kind to scalability in your projects, being possible to move to other module with more processing capabilities or using other in which specifications have better match with the final application.

DUAL/QUAD CORE ARM CORTEX-A53 UP TO 1300 MHz AND CORTEX-M4 AT 266 MHz

This module offers an ideal solution for embedded Systems that requires high-end multimedia Applications. Based on a combination of ARM Cortex-A53 (Dual/Quad-cores) and co-processor Cortex-M4, offers the best solution for critical Applications.
